Social media post leads to felonydrug arrest
The Idaho Falls Police Department Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at 3144 Tipperary Lane in Idaho Falls Thursday.
Idaho Falls Police Department officers were notified of a Facebook post by 22-year-old Brian Starliper of Idaho Falls early Thursday morning that indicated Starliper had an illegal substance, marijuana wax, at his home address.
Officers obtained a warrant and conducted a search of the residence early Thursday afternoon which yielded 10 grams of marijuana and concentrate, 1 gram of cocaine and various drug paraphernalia.
Officers arrested Starliper for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute as well as two outstanding warrants.
He was taken to the Bonneville County Jail.
Another female present at the scene, 20-year-old Kayleigh Hawley of Idaho Falls was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia-marijuana and frequenting.
