Man charged after fighting with police

Jonathon Codee Brewer, 25, faces multiple charges after a confrontation with Pocatello Police.

The incident happened near the intersection of Lewis and Garfield at around 6:38 p.m. Wednesday.

According to police, officers attempted to stop Brewer and arrest him on outstanding warrants. They said Brewer attempted to run away, but police caught up to him when Brewer fell down and suffered a minor injury. He continued to fight with police and injured one officer.

Brewer was charged with resisting and obstructing, battery, assault upon an officer and felony eluding an officer.
