Small earthquakes rumble Eastern Idaho
Eastern Idaho experienced minor earthquakes this week. The University of Utah reported two quakes near Soda Springs on Thursday afternoon. A smaller quake struck just outside of Victor on Tuesday evening.
The first quake hit just after 3:45 P.M., about 6 miles east of Soda Springs. It was recorded as a 3.2 magnitude quake. A second quake struck just under an hour later, at 4:34 P.M. That quake registered as a 3.3 magnitude. Several earthquakes of small magnitues, have been rumbling the same area of Caribou County this week. This area is no stranger to earthquake swarms, however most quakes under a magnitiute of 3 are rarely felt.
On Tuesday evening around 8:50 P.M., a small magnitude 2.5 quake hit just southwest of Victor. That quake registered as a 2.5 magnitude.
