7-foot bronze statue will be unveiled at Patriot Field on May 24

Bingham Healthcare Foundation held a check presentation for the Bingham County Commissioners Thursday.

The $10,000 check is going toward a 7-foot bronze statue at Patriot Field in Blackfoot. This was the final payment of three donations the Bingham Healthcare Foundation gave toward this statue.

The statue will be unveiled May 24 at 11 a.m. at Patriot Field. Gov. Brad Little will be attending and making a few remarks commemorating the statue, kicking off Memorial Day weekend.

Event organizers are expecting a large crowd and are telling people to show up a hour before the ceremony.

Project manager, Scott Reese says he could not have done this without the help from the community.

“I really can’t put into words how proud I am of the county for stepping up and starting this,” Reese said.
“The help of the hospital, the help of so many people and volunteers…
This is a little bit of Arlington right here in Blackfoot and Bingham County.”
