Bannock Commissioners advise taxpayers of their rights

Bannock County taxpayers who received a “Notice of Action” letter after appealing to the Board of Equalization are being advised of their next step.

County Commissioners advise that if appellants disagree with the decision in their letter, they can now appeal to the State Board of Tax Appeals or to the District Court.

All appeals must be received by County Clerk Jason Dixon within 30 consecutive days from the postmarked date of the “Notice of Action” letter.

Appeal forms for the State Board of Tax Appeals can be found here.

The notice of action letters were sent between August 5 and August 9, so they will be due by September 4th and September 9th.

Any other questions can be directed to the County Clerk’s Office at 208-236-7210.
