Town of Jackson honors namesake

KIFI

JACKSON, Wyoming (KIFI)- The town of Jackson has a new point of interest, with the Davey Jackson chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution unveiling a historical plaque in front of town hall Saturday.

The plaque honors Davey Jackson, a fur trader who came west from Missouri in the early 1800s to trap beavers in the area.

The town of Jackson is also named after him.
