Solar eclipse glasses no longer available at Idaho Falls Public Library

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - UPDATE: The Idaho Falls Public Library has run out of glasses.

ORIGINAL: The 'ring of fire' solar eclipse is expected Saturday.

In preparation, the Idaho Falls Public Library will be giving away solar eclipse glasses so people can safely witness the phenomenon.

"We gave them away for summer reading during the last eclipse, and we had a huge box left over. We stashed it away and the day has come," Idaho Falls Public Library Adult Services Librarian Liza Evans said.

The last solar eclipse visible in the US happened in 2017.
