IOGA holds annual conference in Idaho Falls for first time
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association is helping people prepare for the great outdoors.
Its 69th annual conference was held Wednesday.
The past meetings were held in Salmon, where the IOGA was originally founded, but this is the first year it has come to eastern Idaho.
Several local and national outdoor companies met up at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls.
The booths featured new tools and accessories for all of our idaho activities including kayaking, fishing, huntin, and more.
The IOGA has other responsibilities. They help our government protect our public lands.
"We do quite a bit of work with in the legislature on issues that frankly affect all of us here in Idaho, but issues around public access, public land, sustainable and responsible management of fish and wildlife, the sorts of things that really that our members, businesses, that outfitters and guides businesses depend on fundamentally. But those just so happen to be the same things that I think Idahoans value the most," Aaron Lieberman said.
The IOGA is putting on a live auction Thursday. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Mountain America Center.
