Protesters demand justice for college student shot by police
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Several hundred protesters expressed anger and frustration, and demanded justice Monday for a Bangladeshi American college student who was shot and killed by police in the Boston suburb of Cambridge last week, a shooting that has drawn attention from Bangladeshi media. The rally outside Cambridge City Hall on Monday was organized by the Bangladesh Association of New England. Sayed Faisal, a student at the University of Massachusetts Boston, was shot Jan. 4 while advancing on officers with a bladed weapon. His friends and teachers remembered his friendliness, his positive outlook and his intelligence. The shooting is under investigation.
