Pocatello Regional Airport to host second Airport Master Plan open house June 6

KIFI

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - You are invited to attend an upcoming open house hosted by Pocatello Regional Airport to learn more about the update of the “Airport Master Plan.”

The community is encouraged to attend the public meeting, which will take place Tuesday, June 6, from 4 p.m. through 6:30 p.m.

The meeting will be held in the lobby at the Pocatello Airport Terminal building, 1950 Airport Way.

The master plan provides a guide for the next 20 years of facility and infrastructure planning. This meeting will present draft development alternatives to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) design standards and the local need for hangar development. The open house will begin with a presentation from the consulting firm Ardurra, followed by an open discussion with information stations and staff available to answer questions and hear feedback from the community.

The FAA requires airports to develop a 20-year master plan to ensure thoughtful and strategic planning of future facilities and airport infrastructure. The airport master plan will help guide the airport’s future to ensure the airport continues to operate safely, efficiently, and effectively while also reflecting our community values.

The open house is an excellent opportunity for residents to view and provide feedback on draft development alternatives. The airport invites the public to stop in anytime during the open house.

Updates and additional information will be made available at the online project portal HERE.
