Pocatello creates panel to address concerns regarding proposed changes to sign code

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - The City of Pocatello’s Planning & Development Services Department would like to thank the members of the public who provided comment, both in writing and orally during the Nov. 15 hearing regarding proposed changes to the City’s Sign Code.

During the meeting, it was determined to continue the hearing to Dec. 13; however, based on the public comment received, staff determined to form a focus group to evaluate concerns that surfaced from public comment. Staff has determined to forgo the Dec. 13 meeting to give sufficient time to work with the focus group. The group is comprised of sign contractors, business owners, community leaders and members of the general public.

When a revised draft is completed, staff will present the draft changes to the City Council in a future work session. The public will be notified of any future public hearing.
