Earliest Grand Targhee snow melt

GRAND TARGHEE (KIFI) - All the remaining snow at Grand Targhee Snow Tel station has melted off as of June 14.

It is the earliest date since record were kept beginning in 1989.

According to the Henry’s Fork Foundation, precipitation is 76% of average for the water year, and Teton Valley is classified as abnormally dry and in a  moderate drought.
