Boy Scouts run annual Food Drive

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho Food Bank in Pocatello received a boost after a day of scouts going into the streets of Pocatello collecting food.

The Grand Teton Council in Pocatello had troops at many different locations all throughout the city to collect donations from people. There were even some scouts at the main scouting office in Pocatello collecting donations.

But everywhere the scouts were, they had all sorts of fun being in the community and actively serving.

"We've had quite a few people come in and donate food. And well, through that, they've been helping the rest of the community because all this food, we just bring it down to one of the local food, food banks," scout Jonah Latr said.

"It makes it so fun that we can we can, we can give food away to the poor and the people who need it," scout Hannah Hibbert said.

Both scouts said they were happy to serve the community. A council representative said if you missed the Scouting for Food drive, you are welcome to drop off donations at the Scouting office in Pocatello.

All of the donations will go to the Idaho Food Bank.
