House fire in Madison County caused by electrical malfunction

MADISON COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI)-Emergency crews responded to a structure fire at a home in the Lyman area, which is south of Rexburg, on Saturday afternoon around 2:37 p.m.
When fire crews arrived, they saw smoke coming out of the roof and all residents had been safely evacuated.
Authorities believe the cause stemmed from electrical malfunctions. According to the homeowner, a number of outlets were not working.
Estimated damages from the fire are about $250,000 dollars. While approximately 75 percent of the roof's foundation was impacted, the ceiling did not cave in.
Most possessions were saved from the fire.

MADISON COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI)- Emergency crews responded to a structure fire in Burton on Saturday, according to the Madison County Sherrif's facebook page.
Officials said at the time of the post, which was Saturday afternoon, to avoid the area and to keep the roadways clear for first responders.
The cause of the fire and estimated costs were not disclosed.
