Flags at Capitol, Sheridan County lowered to half-staff in memory of Sheridan Police Officer

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KIFI) – Governor Gordon has ordered both the U.S and Wyoming flags to be lowered to half-staff immediately at the Capitol and Sheridan County in honor and memory of Sergeant Nevada Krinkee, who was killed in the line of duty on Tuesday.
Once a date of interment has been announced, the Governor's office will send out an additional notification for flags to be lowered to half-staff statewide on that date. Flags will be returned to full-staff at sunset on the day of interment.
The Governor has issued the following statement:
“I join all of Wyoming in mourning the loss of Sheridan Police Sergeant Nevada Krinkee. This senseless killing is a solemn reminder of the selfless risks our law enforcement officers take each day when they put on the badge. Jennie and I extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Sergeant Krinkee, the Sheridan Police Department, and the entire law enforcement community.”
