Wyoming Game and Fish Commission approves 2024 hunting seasons

JACKSON, Wyo. (KIFI) - The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission has approved the 2024 hunting seasons.

The finalized season and quota information is available on the Wyoming Game and Fish Department website. Hunters who have already applied are encouraged to check the hunt areas they applied for to see if any changes occurred during the season-setting process.

The department's Hunt Planner tool will be updated with the approved seasons by the beginning of May.

The application deadline for moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goat and bison is April 30. The application deadline for deer, antelope and resident elk is May 31.

Your hunting calendar:

  • April 30 – Deadline to apply for moose, bighorn sheep, wild bison and mountain goat.
  • May 8 – Nonresident deadline to modify or withdraw elk applications.
  • May 9 – Draw results tentatively available for moose, bighorn sheep, wild bison and mountain goat.
  • May 16 – Draw results tentatively available for nonresident elk.
  • May 31 – Deadline to apply for deer, antelope and resident elk.
  • May 31 – Deadline to apply for fall turkey, sandhill crane, trapping and Springer special pheasant hunt.
