WACO, Texas (AP) — Blake Shapen completed 17 of 20 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns as 10th-ranked Baylor opened its season with a 69-10 win over FCS team Albany. Shapen also had a nifty dive into the end zone for another score. The reigning Big 12 champion Bears have won their last six games. Sixth-year Bears wideout Gavin Holmes returned a punt 72 yards for a score and Monaray Baldwin had a TD catch and TD run. Shapen won the quarterback job in spring practice over incumbent starter Gerry Bohanon, who is now starting at South Florida.
