Pocatello and Hillcrest play to a 2-2 draw in an excellent battle

AMMON, Idaho (KIFI) - The Pocatello Thunder and Hillcrest Knights tied Tuesday afternoon in a great matchup with both teams trying to pick up an early season victory.

Hillcrest freshman Isai Espinosa capitalized on a Poky turnover to get the Knights on the board in the 1st half. Hillcrest led 1-0 at the break.

Both teams cashed in on scoring opportunities in the 2nd half, with the Thunder striking twice, and a scoreless string of extra time led to a non-conference tie.

Next up, Pocatello travels to Jerome Saturday at 11:00 a.m., while Hillcrest won't play again until next Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. when the Knights head to Thunder Ridge.
