The Nation’s Weather for Monday, February 1, 2021

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

A large coastal storm off of the Mid-Atlantic Coast will

bring heavy snow to portions of the Mid-Atlantic and

Northeast tomorrow. Some areas across northeastern

Pennsylvania will see up to 6-10 inches of accumulation

today. The storm will also bring strong winds which can

cause temporary blizzard conditions in some spots. Farther

south across the Carolinas, there will be a few rain

showers. The center of the country will be dry with a partly

to mostly sunny sky as high pressure sits locked in over the

region. Rain will continue across the Northwest as a storm

system slowly moves toward the coast. Some of the rain will

be heavy and could cause some mudslides as the ground is

already wet. The storm in the west will also bring windy

conditions for portions of the Northwest Coast.
