Join the Idaho Falls Zoo for a ‘merry not scary time’ at Boo at the Zoo

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) – Boo at the Zoo brings spooky fun to the Idaho Falls Zoo.

From Oct. 19 through Oct. 21, the zoo will only be open for Boo at the Zoo from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. You not only get a peak at the animals but enjoy more than 500,000 lights, pumpkins, light sculptures, decorations and trick-or-treat stations throughout the zoo. There are also costume contests each night for all ages.

“Boo at the Zoo is a wonderful event every year,” Idaho Falls Zoo Director David Pennock said. “It’s an enchanting blend of the animal kingdom and Halloween magic, where the thrill of encountering creatures of the wild meets the delight of ‘merry, not scary,’ Halloween festivities.”

Zoo memberships, guest passes, discounts or any other promo tickets are not valid for Boo at the Zoo.

The event, hosted by the Tautphaus Park Zoological Society (TPZS), is one of the largest events in southeastern Idaho. Over the three-day event, the zoo expects up to 15,000 guests to parade themselves around the zoo decked out in their costumes.

Tickets for the event are $7 in advance and $10 at the gate. Buy tickets ahead of time HERE.

All monies from zoo fundraisers, like Boo at the Zoo, support zoo projects, and this year’s events will go toward constructing a new entrance and gift shop at the Idaho Falls Zoo.
