Winter blast wake means colder today and another storm Thursday night

Mountain counties still seeing some convergence will lingering showers that can't escape.  Dusting through the valley overnight and winds yesterday did their best to blow everything around. Upwards of 70mph reported in upper highlands and we still ahve the threat of blowing and drifting snow covering roads and making driving difficult in spots.

While the last of the moisture pushes away, we set up for a windy day and temp below freezing - around 31. Winds gusting to 35.  Everything will remain cold in the wake of the strong cold front and we'll take temperatures to 11 tonight.  Wednesday makes for a slightly warmer afternoon 38, and then Thursday brings winter influence back with showers and then snow mixed in and Saturday we're  seeing another storm on top of us with mountain accumulations. So, March begins with wet and snow and wind.
