Breezy and warmer with isolated storms

We've got a cooling trending ahead with storm chances increasing later today and into the weekend. Temps are going to be warmer today into the upper 80's to near 90 for ISU. 88 in Idaho Falls.

The smoke is still here and feels irritating for sensitive groups, and with winds later today picking up, there may some more dense pockets. SW 10-20 today and even windier with a better chance of thunderstorms starting into late tonight for the mountains and tomorrow against another front.

Dropping temps for Friday to the low 80's and increasing storm chances to 60% for the valley ahead of a chilly blast of air taking us to the 70's for Saturday, and then another wave to put a shot at showers for Sunday and more chilly air. Sunday highs in the lower 60's for the mountains with a 40% chance of chilly rain. Highs for the valley on Sunday drop 20 degrees from where we are today to 66.

SO the struggle is real. Take a jacket or hoodie in the morning and wait for the afternoon warm up today. Let's snuggle this weekend. Stay with 8, and remind your neighbors who are coming back for vacation and getting ready for school and the morning routine to RESCAN if they use an antenna to receive our signal. Do a double rescan. Unplug the antenna totally. Rescan to reset the TV. Reattach the antenna. Then RESCAN again and get set to receive a better signal from Local NEWS 8 and probably even more channels over the air. Spread the word an RESCAN for more local programming, news, sports, and entertainment.
