WIMEREUX, France (AP) — The deaths of a dozen migrants on the English Channel hasn’t stopped more boats from attempting to cross from France to the U.K. Associated Press journalists watched a crowded boat make its way through the sea on Wednesday as French patrol boats monitored and crew threw life vests. Officials hope that Britain’s new government and France can do something to limit the risky crossing attempts. Fishermen who recovered the bodies after Tuesday’s sinking said they saw made them cry. Most of the dead were women. One had a phone around her neck that rang as she was checked for signs of life.
