Cooler temps with scattered rain in the forecast

Thursday marks the last hot day of the current stretch as weather forecasts trend significantly cooler and wetter from Friday through Monday afternoon. High temperatures will drop noticeably, with scattered rain showers.

For Thursday evening, look for isolated thunderstorms with a 30% chance of precipitation before 9 p.m. and a slight chance of showers remaining between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Overnight conditions will be mostly cloudy with a low temperature around 57°. South-southwest winds ranging from 5 to 15 mph, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph.

Shower chances continue Friday, with a 30% chance of precipitation before 2 p.m. and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. Friday will be cloudy with a high near 79°. Northeast winds from 5 to 10 mph will shift to the southwest in the morning, carrying gusts up to 25 mph. Showers become likely Friday night, mainly after midnight, carrying a 70% chance of precipitation and a low temperature around 53°.

Rainfall amounts will increase significantly on Saturday morning, with scattered thunderstorms expected in some areas. Saturday holds a 70% chance of precipitation, with thunderstorms possible after noon. High temperatures will reach near 73° under mostly cloudy skies. South winds will blow between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts reaching as high as 30 mph.

Weather conditions will begin clearing Sunday, which carries a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms before noon. Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 73°. The cooler and wetter weather pattern is forecast to continue through Monday afternoon before giving way to a gradual warming trend.
