Pocatello housing official to head national panel
POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - A Pocatello woman has been elected president of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. Sunny Shaw is Executive Director of Housing Alliance and Community Partnerships in Pocatello.
Shaw was sworn in as president during the association's national conference in San Antonio, Texas October 11.
"I am honored to lead this venerable organization of housers and community builders," Shaw said. "I promise an unwavering commitment to our members, to the people they serve, and to ensuring NAHRO's continued growth and excellence."
NAHRO was established in 1933 to create affordable housing and safe communities for low and moderate income people. Its members currently administer more than 3 million housing units for 7.6 million people.
