Boy Scouts host Scouting for Food in eastern Idaho
CHUBBUCK, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - The Boy Scouts and their philanthropy are being felt here in Eastern Idaho.
The troops hosted a Scouting for Food Drive on Saturday. Because of the loss of multiple scouting troops, the scouts decided to set-up donation locations in multiple locations around Pocatello and Chubbuck.
"The demand is up quite a bit this year over last year," said Boy Scout Committee Chair Ralph Oborn. "Unfortunately the way things have changed, there is not as much food coming in, so they really need it."
Donations were sent to the Idaho Food Bank.
