Copper Thief Sought By Police

The Idaho Falls Police Department is trying to find the person responsible for the theft of $10,000 in insulated copper.

It was taken from a fenced compound in the 400 block of West 15th Street.

The theft occurred sometime after Aug. 8, but wasn’t reported to the police until Aug. 18.

According to a report, the thief entered the area through the southwest corner and took different size wires.
