Brush Fire Keeps Jefferson Firefighters Busy
A pesky brush fire kept the Jefferson Central Fire District busy most of Monday.It began around 2 p.m. at 4110 E. 550 North near Rigby of unknown causes. Firefighters struggled to contain the fire until they felt it was under control at 8 p.m. But brisk winds rekindled the fire at midnight and firefighters remained on the scene till 2 a.m. No structures were threatened.
Due to forecasted high winds, Jefferson Central Fire Chief Jim Dual has issued a no-burn order for Jefferson County today.
