Jefferson County fire ban in place
When it comes to wildfires, Jefferson County isn’t taking any chances.
Central, Roberts and the Hamer fire districts are all ordering an open burning ban until further notice.
The ban includes open field fires and burn barrels.
Just last month, the Central Fire District responded to 25 uncontrolled open burn fires in the span of three days.
