2 arrested in Lincoln Road robbery
Two men were arrested Thursday in connection to the robbery of an Idaho Falls business in July.
Idaho Falls police arrested 23-year-old Jose Luis Soto and 30-year-old Rafael Soto on charges of robbery and aggravated assault with a weapons enhancement.
Jose Soto was arrested on a warrant at Twin Falls County Jail. Rafael Soto was arrested on a warrant at Canyon County Jail.
Police said the Sotos and Corey Mitchell, 35, who was arrested in July, entered a building on Lincoln Road occupied by two men sanding a boat. Officers said the three demanded cash and a fight ensued. In July, police said one of the suspects had a handgun, which was used to fire a round into the ceiling to scare the victims. One of the victims had a knife.
In the fight, one of the victims was stabbed, and Mitchell was struck in the head.
