Idaho Falls police arrest registered sex offender

An Idaho Falls man was arrested Tuesday afternoon on multiple counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16.

Jeffrey Lewis Dunn, 52, was arrested at his home. The arrest stems from an investigation that began in December 2011 regarding alleged inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old and 13-year-old girl, police said.

He has been charged with three counts of lewd conduct with an enhancement for being previously convicted of a sex crime.

According to the Idaho Sex Offender Registry, Dunn was convicted in 1996 for lewd conduct with a child under 16 in Bonneville County.
