IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Idaho Falls golf pro Tim Reinke will be inducted into the Rocky Mountain Section of the Professional Golfers' Association Hall of Fame on Sunday. A ceremony will be held at the Idaho Falls Elks Lodge at 6 p.m.

Reinke is a three time Golf Professional of the Year award winner. He won for the Rocky Mountain region in 1988, 1990 and 1992. He was twice named as one of the top golf instructors in Idaho by Golf Digest.

His service with the city of Idaho Falls began in 1979. Reinke became the head golf pro at Pinecrest golf course in 1984. He now serves as the manager of golf operations for the city's three golf facilities. He has held that role since 2014.

In a release, Mayor Rebecca Casper called Reinke a "huge driving force in making our golf courses the success they are today." She added, "he has helped teach and share his love of the game with countless people throughout the years and has been a true and respected ambassador of the sport. This is a very fitting honor."
