“Foul Ball” Paul collects over 3 million baseball cards
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Baseball is a game that brings people together.
For Idaho Falls resident Paul Jones, he now has a three-car garage with over three million baseball cards.
"I'm not here to sell them or trade them or anything," Jones said. "I always ask myself, is this really happening? Do I really have this many cards"?
This all started when Jones was around 10 years old. Collecting baseball cards helped Paul learn while dealing with Asperger's.
"We taught him geography based on a baseball map listing every team in the United States," Paul's dad, Barry Jones said. "Of course math by counting the cards. He is just a walking encyclopedia."
In 2008, Paul Jones became the Guinness World Record holder for having the largest private collection of baseball cards.
"I'll never quit collecting cards," Jones said.
If you want to donate your cards to Paul, you can call his dad, Barry, at 702-813-2474.
