Idaho Falls Power Experiences Outage

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - UPDATE: The total number of customers impacted was 3,324, which varied throughout the duration of the outage.  The cause of the outage was an issue with a transformer at the Sugarmill substation.  If you are still having issues with your power, please call (208) 612-8430.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Idaho Falls Power experienced an outage around 5:30 A.M. Monday. Some customers have said they heard a loud "boom" before losing their power. As of around 7 A.M., power was beginning to be restored around the area. Idaho Falls Power says to contact them if your power does not restore soon.

Crews are investigating to determine the cause.
