New superintendent named for Jefferson schools

The Jefferson County School District 251 has announced its new superintendent.

Heading the district will be Lisa Sherick.

“Mrs. Sherick comes to the district with a unique background of education, experience, and skill sets,” the district said in a news release.

She earned an advanced educational degree of education specialist from Idaho State University in 2008 and is currently serving as assistant superintendent and director of student services in Idaho Falls School District 91.

The district said her background is also in public relations, advertising and marketing.

“Sherick is excited to be taking this post and plans to build on district successes in the past,” the district said.

Sherick is replacing Ron Tolman, who accepted a job in the Box Elder County School District in Utah.
