U.S. Sen. Jim Risch responds to contention within Idaho GOP

The Republican Bar-B-Q fundraiser was held Thursday night at Tautphaus Park in Idaho Falls. Of course, the last time a lot of Republicans got together, was at the state convention in Moscow. It a was a bit of a debacle. Eyewitness News asked U.S. Sen. Jim Risch, of Idaho, if Republicans are ready to heal from that and start working together as one party?

“I think if you went out and asked the man on the street, they wouldn’t have any idea of what happened. It was an intramural fight. A lot of personalities involved, but at the end of the day, we’ll get through this and move on. This is nothing new for the Republican Party. I’ve been doing this for 40 years and we have internal spats all the time. We feel strongly. We feel passionate about the issues,” said Risch.

This is the 42nd annual Bar-B-Q fundraiser for the Region 7 GOP.
