Progress on Cheyenne Connector in Pocatello

The south valley road being constructed in Pocatello is making progress. At Thursday’s city council meeting, the council approved contracts between the state and the city.

They will be open bids to help phase two of building the connector, which includes paving and adding bridges. Those bids will include several sub-contracts.

“We look at the state side, the city side and then also the contractor side,” said Public Works Director Michael Jaglowski. “From our standpoint, at that point, we’re all serving the residents of Pocatello and the people that are using that road.”

The city council approved the contracts with no dissent, pending legal department review. They expect to finish construction on the road by early or late November 2015.
