Detectives investigate health clinic burglary in Ammon

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s office is investigating a break-in at Pearl Health Clinic at 2705 E. 17th Street in Ammon. The burglary was reported Wednesday morning.

Sgt. Jeff Edwards said losses were estimated at $11,000. Items stolen included four lap-top computers, one desk top computer, six electric tablets,an antique chess board, and petty cash from a filing cabinet.

Clinic Medical Director Dr. Stephen DeNagy said there has been no compromise of any clinical data. He said no patient files are stored on individual computers. As a precaution, he said the clinic initiated an audit of its database and found no evidence of intrusion. In addition, access to servers has been reconfigured and new passwords assigned.
