UPDATE: IFPD identifies body found at Tautphaus Park
The Idaho Falls Police Department has identified a man found dead at Tautphaus Park as 31 year old Deraek Patrick Larson from Idaho Falls.
Authorities have ruled Larson’s death a homicide.
Police said he was found on a playground near the tennis courts on Soft Ball Drive at 10 a.m Sunday. The man was found stripped down to his boxers.
Investigators say the man was specifically targeted. Although the suspects have not been identified, police say there isn’t a threat to public safety.
Police are asking the public to contact them if they have any information connected to this case at 529-1200.
