Emergency Preparedness Event at the Museum of Clean

Fire and police officials gathered for the annual community event to educate people on being better prepared for when a natural disaster strikes.

The event featured hands-on experiences and presentations to show how much the reality of being prepared is so much bigger than we think. Community Specialist, Dianne Brush of Pocatello Police was there to shed light on the essentials.

“Whether it be a natural weather problem like a fire or flood, or whether it be a pandemic illness or even a major power outage…we want people to be able to take care of themselves for a couple of days until emergency services can reach everybody,” Brush said.

The event was free to the public and offered raffle prizes and survival gear which was up for sale.
