Pocatello man arrested for theft of car
An alert firefighter helped Pocatello police locate a reported stolen car at around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on S. 4th and East Lewis Street.
Police said a car that was left unlocked and running was reported missing. A firefighter saw the car drive by and notified police.
Officers pulled the car over and questioned the driver.
Daniel Glenn Kelley, 32, was arrested on charges of grand theft and an outstanding Bannock County warrant. During his arrest, officers found a 22 caliber semi-automatic gun. Kelley was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.
