Idaho Falls man arrested for attempted strangulation

Idaho Falls Police arrested 21-year-old Jonathon Rutledge for felony attempted strangulation early Sunday morning.

Rutledge of Idaho Falls was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to reports, officers responded to the 1800 block of East 17th Street around 3:30 a.m. for adomestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with Rutledge and a 19-year-old woman. Both had gotten into an argument and it turned physical. The woman told police Rutledge choked her.
