Car crashes into Idaho Falls home

Update 7-5-2016 4:00 pm: Zaira Angonas, 47, of Idaho Falls was cited for reckless driving and felony injury to a child after driving a car into a home in the 1600 block of Juniper at 6 p.m. Friday.

According to police reports, Angonas was following another car and drove about 450 feet on the sidewalk. She told police she hit a rock, which somehow caused her to run into the house.

The homeowners were outside at the time, but were not injured. A 7-year-old boy riding in the car was also not hurt.

An estimate of damage was not available.

Original Story: Idaho Falls Police are trying to figure out how a car ended up inside a house.

The crash happened around 6 p.m., in the area of 17th Street and Juniper near Baskin Robins.

Police tell us a woman and a child were in the car and there were no serious injures.
