Update: Arco boil order lifted, citizens asked to use water sparingly
Update 7-8-2016 2:25 pm: The city of Arco has passed its latest water safety tests. As a result, boil orders have now been lifted.
However, the city’s Park well has experienced a mechanical failure, leaving the city with just one working well.
As a result, the city is encouraging residents to conserve water as much as possible until the well is repaired. There is no estimate as to when that will be, but city officials said they are working to complete the repairs as soon as possible.
Original story: The City of Arco has issued a boil order until further notice.
The City says that a water main broke on Wednesday and has already been repaired. For safety reasons the city is asking all residents to boil water before use as a precaution. The city will test water for contamination on Thursday.
