Dry bed fish salvage ordered

The Idaho Fish and Game Department has issued a salvage order for the Dry Bed Canal on the South Fork of the Snake River.

The salvage took effect Wednesday and will continue through November 30.

The order suspends fish bag, possession, and size limits on the Dry Bed Canal only.

The order includes a stretch of the canal that runs from the Highway 48 bridge (between Lewisville and Menan near the Idahoan Fresh Pack Plant) upstream to the Great Feeder Canal irrigation headgate near Ririe.

While bag and possession limits have been lifted, all anglers must have a valid fishing license.

With the exception of firearms, explosives, chemicals, prohibited bait and electricity, fish may be taken by any method, including seines and dip nets.
