Pocatello man arrested after running from police

Pocatello Police arrested Joshua Edward Maddock, 34, after a brief chase at around 2:51 p.m. Monday.

According to reports, Maddock was driving a vehicle on Yellowstone when officers spotted him. They knew Maddock was wanted on outstanding warrants.

When officers attempted to stop Maddock, he sped away, approaching speeds of 70 miles per hour along Wilson Avenue.

After Maddock was involved in a traffic crash at Chapel and Meadowbrook, he attempted to run away. Officers apprehended him at Meadowbrook and Cedar.

Maddock was charged with eluding an officer and arrested on three outstanding warrants. He was being held in the Bannock County Jail Tuesday.
