Evening Weather Forecast for Dec. 25
Those wishing for a white Christmas really got what they wanted. Most places across the region saw at least half-a-foot to a foot of new snow, and some mountain locations seeing close to two feet of snow.
Tonight, lingering snow showers with gradually clearing conditions. A few snow showers will stick around near the ID/WY state line, but they won’t last long. Lows will be chilly ranging from sub-0 in the central mountains to the low teens in the Snake River Plain.
Monday, excluding a stray morning snow shower near the WY/ID state line, we’ll have a break from snowy weather. Count on partly cloudy skies with highs in the 20’s. Possibly some morning fog in the central mountain valleys, but it shouldn’t last long.
Tuesday, another storm slides in. Count on snow showers in the central mountains in the morning, with the snow spreading to the rest of the region by the afternoon. The winds will be blustery meaning blowing snow will be an issue. Daytime highs should top out in the 20’s.
Wednesday, lingering snow showers and winds to start the day off, with things clearing out by the afternoon. Highs in the 20’s possibly low 30’s in the southern Snake River Plain.
