Snowy Overnight, Windy Sunday

TONIGHT: We currently see isolated snow showers in our region with some areas getting a break from the snow and only having partly cloudy skies. We are expecting a bigger surge of moisture providing more heavier and more widespread snow to the entire region tonight. It should come through mostly in the overnight hours starting around midnight and continuing until the early morning hours. Winds will be breezy between 15-20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Low temperatures in the early morning hours will be around freezing.

TOMORROW: Most of the snow comes through with the cold front in the early morning hours. After that, we should see isolated snow showers with lots of breaks for everyone to just have partly cloudy skies. It will however be windy during the entire day with winds speeding up to between 20-30 mph with gusts getting up to 50 mph. This will be a quite unusual day for temperatures as the high temperature of the day will have been present in the very early morning hours in the upper 20's and lower 30's. We should see the temperatures decrease into the afternoon with temps going down to the teens and lower 20's.

LONG TERM: Another cold front looks to dump even more snow on our region for Monday. After Monday, we finally dry up, but at a cost of decreasing the temperatures a lot. High's for Tuesday and Wednesday should get down to the 10's with lows for Monday night - Wednesday night getting down to the single digits and even below zero. Thursday will welcome back isolated snow showers before our next major snow will come on Friday. High temperatures slowly rebound into the lower 20's for next weekend.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST SUNDAY for Arco Mud Lake Desert and the Beaverhead Lemhi Highlands.
This includes Mud Lake, INL, Craters of the Moon, Dubois,
Spencer, Edie School, and Small and Yellowstone National Park, Absaroka Mountains and
Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains and Jackson Hole and Star Valley.
