Pocatello flag committee approves revisions
This week, the Pocatello flag committee approved a proposal to allow revisions to some of the submitted designs for a new city flag.
After a panel of experts met Saturday to narrow down the designs, they sent a proposal for revisions to the committee.
The panel narrowed it down to 19 they liked, but felt that some designs needed some slight changes. Some things the panel would like to see revised in some designs are colors, shapes or combining two elements of different flags.
So now committee members will work on revisions. Once they are done, those revised designs will go back before the expert panel. The panel will then select its top ten designs for the public to vote on as the new flag.
Logan McDougall, flag committee chairman, said the committee will eventually have all 709 original submissions on display at a local library.
