Idaho Falls police obtain sketch of primary suspect in Angie Dodge’s murder
The Idaho Falls Police Department has obtained a sketch of a primary suspect in the 1996 rape and murder of Angie Dodge.
KIFI/KIDK is told the sketch was compiled by using DNA from semen found at the crime scene.
In an email reply to KIFI/KIDK, Idaho Falls police said they could not release the sketch to the public.
“We aren’t ready to release that sketch,” an email reply from spokesperson Joelyn Hansen said. “There is some investigation work still being done.”
News of the sketch comes less than 24 hours after KIFI/KIDK broke the news that Christopher Tapp would be released from prison after 20 years. Tapp was convicted in the rape and murder of Dodge. Investigators say Tapp was an accessory to the crime.
Tapp is expected to be released from prison Wednesday.
